Janet Rothney will be conducting 2 library sessions in the computer lab at the Neil John Maclean Library, which holds 15 people. She will go over how to get access to the University of Manitoba Library resources and basic searching in PubMed. CDHM Board of Assessors Position – 2013

The College of Dental Hygienists of Manitoba (CDHM) currently has an open position on its Board of Assessors, effective immediately. The position will commence after the following selection process.

Interested individuals are asked to provide a professional resume and covering letter indicating why s/he would like to serve in this position by February 15, 2013 in writing to the CDHM office located at:

After review of the resumes, applicants will be short-listed for an interview prior to final selection.



Assess and approve applicants for registration as a dental hygienist in Manitoba in accordance with the requirements set out in The Dental Hygienists Act and Regulations.


The Board of Assessors is composed of three dental hygienists appointed by the Council of the College of Dental Hygienists of Manitoba. Board members serve a 3-year term, and if offered, may serve additional terms.

 Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Assess applications for registration as a dental hygienist.
  2. Consider and decide whether applications for registration should be approved and, if so, whether any conditions should be attached to such registration.


Must be registered and in good standing as a practising or non-practising dental hygienist in Manitoba.


Board of Assessor appointees are remunerated on an hourly basis at $20/hour to a maximum of $420 per fiscal year.
