• A non-practising registrant may transfer to the Register of Dental Hygienists (Practising) at any time during the membership year. Transfer requires satisfying the requirements of that register. Applicants that do not meet the practice hour requirement will be reviewed on an individual basis and may require additional competency assessment, including the completion of an approved re-entry program.
• You can remain on the Non-Practising register indefinitely; however, if you wish to return to practice after 3 or more consecutive years of not practising, you may be required to complete a Refresher Program/Competency Assessment. If you need information regarding Refresher Programs being offered, please contact the CDHM at (204) 219-2678.
• Please submit:
  • Completed, signed and dated application form including the appropriate checklist provided. Be sure to complete the following sections:
    1. Personal Information
    2. Post-Secondary Education
    3. Additional Dental Hygiene Practice
    4. National Dental Hygiene Certification Examination
    5. Language
    6. Applicant’s Declaration
  • Satisfactory proof of identification
  • Evidence of dental hygiene education
  • Application fee of $175.00
  • Annual registration fee of $170.00 or pro-rated fee for new graduates of $85.00 (initial registration)
